7. A detangling brush: This will forever be your bestie.  Most will find the best choice will be a scalp massaging detangling brush.  You hold it in the palm of your hand and it will tease the tangles out without breakage, and will also improve the circulation in your scalp, too.  You can also get handled ones if you prefer a more traditional sweep and approach.
